SAROVI DAVDA 〜 MSC BDS MFDS RCS

I am Sarovi Davda, offering over 20 years of experience in dental practice with a special interest in periodontics, in which I practice exclusively. I also act as a dento-legal expert witness in periodontal negligence and personal injury cases, and have lectured nationally in periodontics at postgraduate level for over a decade.

About Me

award-winning periodontology

I was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005, and in the same year, won the Junior Papers Prize, featuring in the British Dental Journal.  I was awarded an MSc at The Eastman Dental Institute in 2014, with distinction and honorary faculty membership to the British Society of Periodontology and Implantology in 2015. Membership to the British Society of Periodontology, by invitation only, is “a marker of esteem within the UK periodontal community”.

I was awarded Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert certification in in 2020 and have acted an an expert witness in periodontal litigation, with experience of presenting evidence at trial, since 2019.

I have 3 branches of expertise to offer:

Medico-legal expert work in the field of periodontology

Clinical periodontology

Post-graduate teaching in periodontics

Lecturing & Webinars

post-graduate level

My masters thesis was based upon the prognosis of periodontally challenged teeth and I have been invited to present on this subject, amongst many others by numerous professional bodies at national and regional conferences including the British Dental Association National Conference, Oral B Webinar Series, The Eastman Dental Institute, the Dentistry Show, The British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists. My Ethos

What sets me apart

It’s my understanding and philosophy that sets me apart. I centre it around 3 aspects: my care is always ‘patient centred’, treatment is ‘minimally invasive’ and my patient manage-ment is ‘evidence based’.

I build relationships with patients based on respect and compassion, so that they feel motivated and in control of their periodontal health. I am passionate about my subject, flexible in my mind set and take pride in my report writing, aiming for excellence.

Like all periodontists, I aim to achieve clinical excellence, but my real passion is providing a unique, engaging and empowering experience that enables a minimally invasive and comfortable approach.

As a lecturer, I aim to inspire through example, connect through compassion and deliver the most contemporary, evidence based philosophy that is applicable in ‘the real world’ of general dental practice.

What is Periodontitis?

a brief overview

98% of the UK suffer from gum disease in its reversible form, known as gingivitis. Gingivitis presents as sore and bleeding gums in reaction to plaque – a bacterial film that forms over the tooth surface every 24 hours.

A minority of the population suffer a more profound reaction to plaque, known as periodontitis. Periodontitis is often an insidious disease that takes years to get to advanced stages, when it presents with loose teeth, gum recession and sensitivity.

Periodontitis is driven by patient factors. Smokers are up to six times more likely to suffer from it and diabetics, up to 5 times more likely.

Periodontitis is manageable, but not curable. The success of its management is largely based upon what the patient does. Once a patient is identified as being susceptible to the disease, they remain susceptible for life and require life long support to maintain stability.

Working With Me

my passion for periodontology

I consider it a privilege and a responsibility to work with patients. I like to believe that, when I have completed treatment with a patient, they have a more positive outlook and infinitely more stable dental health to when they first started. I bring passion to my work and each interaction because I genuinely love what I do.

Referrals & Feedback

from my patients & clients

"I was fortunate to be recommended by a colleague to Sarovi after I had become disillusioned with my previous dentist. Sarovi revolutionised my approach to gum health by engaging in a kind and straightforward manner which most importantly gave hope that with the right focus and care techniques you can make a real change for the better.”
